White Water Rafting - River Tummel, Scotland

River Tummel White Water Rafting

The River Tummel is a dam-released river which releases at weekends between June and the end of September. The release means that we can have excellent water levels for white water rafting even when the sun has been shining and the normal scottish rain has stayed away for a change!

Each trip last approximately 3 hours.  The River Tummel is a great white water rafting trip for those looking for an awesome adrenaline rush.  You don’t need to have previous white water rafting experience, however good water confidence and the ability to swim is necessary.  The river grading is not huge, but the Tummel is a technical river, making it pretty interesting on the way down.  We are sure your pulse will be racing by the end of this white water rafting trip....especially after the two tier waterfall at the end!

River Tummel - Grade 3/4 (depending on release).

Nae Limits use the smallest rafts of any of the other operators who raft this river.  We do this to enhance your safety, enjoyment and overall white water rafting experience.  It also allows the white water rafting trip to run smoothly and minimises the possibility of getting stuck and reduces the risk of any unwanted swimming.  Consequently we have strict conditions and ratios.

Should you or any member of your party fail to get advice on these restrictions before you arrival date, Nae Limits staff reserve the right to refuse participation for health and safety reason.
