What is the minimum age requirement to go white water rafting?

Families with children aged six and over will be able to enjoy a white water rafting experience with Nae Limits within our Summer Season. In the Winter months we increase the minimum age requirement to twelve as the water levels tend to be higher, meaning bigger and more impactful rapids.

Is it safe for my children?

All of our guides and instructors are highly trained and skilled in our rafting experiences and all hold PVG and Child Protection documentation. We ensure every trip is adequately risk assessed and we complete each rafting trip to the ability that we feel is safest for the whole group. This means we will never take children into rapids we feel will be too impactful for them and opt for a more suitable route. Don’t worry, it will still be lots of fun!

Do you provide safety equipment for my whole family?

Part of the Nae Limits experience is that we provide any kit and safety equipment that you may need to take part in a rafting experience. This means life jackets, helmets, wet suits and any other relevant gear – just remember your own swimsuits! Our safety equipment is designed to cater for children aged six and over and up to adults weighing under eighteen stone.

How long does a white water rafting trip last?

Our River Tay White Water Rafting trips are usually around three hours or a half day experience. Once you’re dried off, make sure to head over to our Nae Limits Café to sample our delicious menu created from fresh, local ingredients. Perfect for a family lunch!
