So, you’re all booked to go on your white water rafting activity with Nae Limits, but you don’t know what to wear? This handy guide will help you choose the most appropriate swimwear and clothing to ensure you are comfy, cosy and have a safe time when in the water.
The Outer Layers

We know you don’t plan on visiting Nae Limits in just your swimwear, so wearing the appropriate outer layers is key for making sure you are comfy and cosy both before and after your activity. We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing such as tracksuits, jogging bottoms, hoodies and sweatshirts that are quick to change in and out of and will keep you nice and warm after being in the cool water.
In the Summer months, you may want to wear shorts and t-shirts, but we recommend always bringing an outer layer such as a hoodie or a jumper as you can be a little cool when coming out of the water.
The Swimwear

Arguably the most important item of clothing to wear to a water-based activity is your swimsuit! For the ladies, keep your height of fashion bikinis to a minimum and opt for something more practical such as an all-in-one swimsuit, or a sports bikini that doesn’t have any hanging ties or straps. You can get moved around quite a bit while in the boat, so try to wear something that will remain comfortable while under your wet suit.
For the men, swimming trunks are absolutely fine. Again, make sure any hanging straps or ties are tucked away and that your trunks fit you comfortably while under a wetsuit.
The Shoes

Our water-based activities all require you to wear a pair of trainers for safety. Please do not bring your brand-new Air Force Ones! These trainers are going to get wet and likely muddy, so make sure you bring an old pair that you are happy to wear in the water.
We would also recommend bringing a spare pair of trainers and socks along to change into in-case these do get wet.
What else should I bring?
Make sure you bring a towel with you to dry off with after your activity, and a bag to carry all of your clothing and items in which will be stored safely at Nae Limits HQ. If you are wearing your swimsuit to the activity under your clothes, please remember to bring some underwear to change into for the journey home.
Otherwise, you’re good to go! Nae Limits will provide you with all of the relevant safety gear and equipment such as wet-suits, life jackets and helmets, and you are more than welcome to pop into the Nae Limits Café for a bite to eat and a coffee after your activity.
We hope you have the best time white water rafting with Nae Limits!
