What’s up in Winter?

  • February 3, 2020
  • Dale Strang

At Nae Limits we pride ourselves on getting to know you. It’s the part of the job that we all love and in the brief time we spend with our clients we ask a multitude of questions. BUT! We find that you, our brave adventurers, are always intrigued about the how, who and what our guides get up too?

So after a quick “survey” from the team we established that the most common question asked is…. Drum roll ….. “What do you do in the winter, when it’s freezing?”

So we decided to give a little glimpse of one of our team members and what they are doing right now.

First up is Cam. The youngest of the crew of guides but as skilled as any. This guy is a bit of a whiz kid and burst onto the scene with the enthusiasm of an 18 year old, but the knowledge and professionalism of someone much older and wiser.

So what does he do in winter? Well if Cam isn’t still braving the Scottish rivers you will find him on the hill with a bike or snowboard at his feet. When he isn’t rattling down the hill at breakneck speed, he is usually chasing the surf. Much to the dismay of our other team members, Cam is a bit too good at everything.

A group of ten senior soldiers went canyoning as part of a team-building exercise. Considering that some of those attending had been in the army for 30+ years, we needed something that would stretch us as we have conducted adventure activities all over the world. This experience was amazing, something none of us had done before and it hit the mark.

Upper Bruar Canyoning was amazing. We went as a family, not for the faint-hearted but safe as houses! We all had the best time but chickened out of the 10m jump. The 6m jump was soo much fun as was the abseiling. Thank you!!

Really great day out, we did white water tubing and it was so much fun. Beautiful scenery, got properly wet and cold and finished with some cliff jumping. Guides were just great, very laid back and funny, but clearly watching safety issues all the time, and super helpful with anyone who was struggling.
great day out for families

Went tubing and rafting here a few weeks ago and it was great, beautiful scenery and great fun in the raft/tube. All equipment and tuition is provided so it’s suitable for beginners. The tubing trip had (optional) cliff jumping which my kids loved. Guy and Jack looked after us all really well and kept us safe a d happy, especially my dare devil son! Would highly recommend to any other groups or familie

I booked a Stag weekend with Nae Limits for 14 guys. The team at Nae Limits were excellent the whole way through, from planning and advising on activities beforehand, right through to the weekend itself. The activity team were excellent and had everything on hand for us on the day. The whole group commented on how great the weekend had been, and we can't thank the team enough!
