River Tay white water rafting: Available year round

The River Tay is a fantastic option for those looking to experience White Water Rafting for the first time. Offering a “fun for the whole family experience”, rafting on the River Tay promises lots of laughs and big splashes as you float your way down the water.

We offer our rafting experiences on the River Tay in both Summer and Winter seasons, with slightly varying routes and safety requirements to make sure everyone has fun.

River Tay rafting in summer

From April to October you can experience the River Tay in our Summer season. You’ll be in awe of the local wildlife and surrounding landscapes that we will explore, while taking advantage of the warmer weather and calmer waters. In the Summer months, the water can get quite low which makes it a perfect experience for beginners or younger children (aged six and over), however those looking for a more high octane experience may want to look into River Tubing or Gorge Walking.

November to March is our Winter Season for our River Tay White Water Rafting experience. In the colder months the water tends to be higher which makes for bigger jumps and even bigger splashes! Expect lots of fun and an adrenaline filled experience. For the safety of all those involved, we increase our minimum age in the winter months to 12+. If you’re looking for something different to do in the New Year, we would definitely recommend a trip down the Tay in one of our inflatable rafts!

River Tummel white water rafting: Available in summer only

If you are serious about your White Water Rafting experience then this is the trip for you. Available only in our Summer months from June to September (weekends only), this dam release river provides lots of rapids with plenty of white water, narrow shoots and two tier waterfalls to satisfy your need for adventure. Enjoy the perfect mix of sunny Scottish summers and cool Perthshire waters on this fun filled adventure – not for the feint of heart!
